Workday Rising Day Two Keynote Recap
Day two at Workday Rising 2023 featured an opening keynote by Workday co-CEO, Aneel Bhusri. He announced it was the largest Workday Rising to date; the conference’s growth is a reflection of Workday‘s growth and they expect to be a Fortune 500 company in the next year. Some exciting stats related to that:
- 50% of Fortune 500 companies are Workday customers
- Half of existing Workday customers are core customers (use Workday for both Human Capital Management and Financial Management)
Aneel shared how Workday’s core values of Employees, Customer Service, Integrity, Innovation, Fun, and Profitability continue to be a focus for the company. Through Profitability, Workday is able to focus on initiatives like the Workday Foundation.
ERPA can attest to Workday’s local outreach and impact; ERPA’s headquarters is located in Columbus, Ohio, home of The Memorial Golf Tournament which is presented by Workday and provides charitable contributions to Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
AI is the Hot Topic in This Year’s Workday Rising
Of course, the hottest topic in this year’s Workday Rising is artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML). Workday has been investing in AI and ML for ten years and this explosion of AI could be one of the biggest transformations seen in many years.
What does AI mean for Workday customers? Aneel shared Workday’s emphasis is on creating a better human experience. There are three ways that Workday generative AI is able to differentiate:
